You wake feeling a little disoriented. Scratch that… you feel very disoriented. Looking around, you notice a number of other people around you like you slouching or collapsed in a seated position around wooden tables. A few more are picking themselves up off the floor, where they had apparently fallen. The odd plate or mug suggests that some might have been carrying food or drink and dropped it where they fell.
The people around you look familiar, but you can’t remember anyone’s name. Now you think about it, you can’t remember how you got here either, or even exactly where you are. And you are not alone. As conversation resumes in what seems to be a local tavern, it seems that everyone there is struggling with the same gaps in their memory.
